Discover the Tourist Farms of Soure
Buffalo Farm Experience: Enjoy an interactive talk about the island and the bond between people and buffaloes. Take photos riding them, get close to the herd, visit the cheese factory to learn about the traditional Queijo do Marajó, and taste cheeses, sweets, buffalo milk products, regional juices, and tapioca — all surrounded by the natural landscapes of Marajó.
Walk along the deserted and untouched Goiabal Beach, cross wooden bridges over the mangroves, and take in the stunning coastal scenery. The tour includes a boat ride to explore the region, and optionally, a buffalo ride along the beach or a river crossing. It’s a peaceful experience with stops for photos, swimming, and rest — a perfect connection with Marajó’s nature.
Located in the natural fields of Marajó, Bom Jesus Farm offers one of the most stunning landscapes in Soure. Although it doesn’t provide tourist activities, the road that crosses the property — the main access route to Caju-Una and Céu beaches — is perfect for wildlife observation. Along the way, you may spot buffaloes, scarlet ibises, herons, jabirus, monkeys, and other native species.
