The Cultural Soul of Soure’s Nights
At night, a great way to experience Soure is to enjoy the performances of carimbó groups, a living expression of Pará’s culture.
Carimbó, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Brazil, enchants both locals and visitors with its dances, drums, and swirling skirts.
The songs of local groups poetically and rhythmically depict the flora, fauna, and legends of Marajó, celebrating the essence and joy of the Marajoara people.
In Soure, carimbó is celebrated every night! Performances can take place at different locations across the city — see below for the most common venues or ask the hotel reception to find out where carimbó is happening tonight.
